EMMANUEL Macron is turning a blind eye to the the widening gap between the rich and the poor with his £7billion plan to tackle poverty, critics have claimed as they brand his proposals “empty” and short on concrete solutions. The centrist, whose pro-business agenda has been bitterly criticised by his opponents, said he wanted to give France’s nine million poor people the choice to “not be poor anymore”.
