Zion Williamson returned for Duke in Thursday night’s ACC quarterfinal game against Syracuse and he quickly got back to doing Zion Williamson things.

He finished a perfect 13-for-13 from the floor while leading Duke to a 84-72 win. Zion finished with 29 points, 15 rebounds and five steals.

So yeah, he was back to being a dominant player. And Duke suddenly looked like a very good Duke team again.

But early in the first half it sure did seem like Syracuse star Frank Howard tried to trip Zion after he threw down a big dunk on a power move.

Check it out for yourself:

Seemed like he did that on purpose, yeah?

Howard, however, said afterward that he wasn’t trying to trip him:

Frank on Zion: I was just shown the video. I’m not going to wait 4 years to get to this position to trip somebody. Said he has a lot of respect for Zion.

But man, it sure did look like he tried to trip Zion. Twitter thought so, too:

This dude really just tried to trip Zion, smh. pic.twitter.com/MObQeIFdP2

Syracuse’s Frank Howard should be suspended for a game. Should’ve been ejected. Boeheim should suspend him if NCAA doesn’t. Terrible cheap shot (trying to trip Zion) on a player who just returned from a leg injury. Horrible!

Of COURSE Zion “wants to play.” This isn’t about his desire to return or his make-up as a basketball player. This is about making the right choice for his future. He had another warning tonight with the trip that could’ve gone really badly.

Syracuse star Frank Howard sticks out foot trying to trip Zion. Probably worth a suspension for a half if Syracuse wins. Also, CBS/NCAA do NOT want this crap pic.twitter.com/vkrPUQ2n7b
