Woman’s forgetfulness leads to 0,000 lottery prize

Nov. 22 (UPI) — A woman who won $190,000 from the Washington state lottery said she wouldn’t have won if she hadn’t forgotten the slip of paper with her intended numbers.

The Wenatchee woman told Washington’s Lottery officials she made a list of special dates and anniversaries to use for her Hit 5 lottery ticket, but when she arrived at the Plaza Super Jet store in Wentachee she realized she didn’t have the paper.

“I wrote down the numbers from special dates and anniversaries in my family, but left the paper at home so I ended up just using QuickPick,” said the winner. “It’s a good thing I forgot it!”

The QuickPick ticket ended up winning the woman $190,000 in the Nov. 4 Hit 5 drawing.

The woman said she is planning to put the money toward home renovation and traveling to New York to see her favorite musical, Jersey Boys, live on Broadway.
